Reach Out and Read is an early literacy program that provides doctors with books they can offer, free of charge, to parents of young children, with a special emphasis on children growing up in poverty. Every child who visits APC leaves with a book.

APC relies on volunteers to manage Reach Out and Read book inventories, to accept, sort and organize donations of gently-used children’s books and to read to children in the APC Waiting Room.
